Maqsood Ahmad

Maqsood Ahmad is a patent agent at the firm of Yee & Associates, P.C.  Dr. Ahmad graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering/Material Science specializing in fracture mechanics in 1995.  Dr. Ahmad obtained his LL.M. law degree specializing in Intellectual Property Law from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2004.  In law school, Dr. Ahmad served as a vice president for the SMU Intellectual Property Law Society for from 2003-2004.

Dr. Ahmad is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He has over 17 years of research and development and process engineering industrial experience areas including semiconductors, defense electronics, engineering materials, health care products, chemical and food industry. His legal experience includes international intellectual property law practice and technical consultant to Frito-Lay in-house counsels and scientists.

At Yee & Associates, P.C., Dr. Ahmad concentrates his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications with an emphasis in the areas of computer software, computer hardware, electronics, electromechanical and semiconductor technologies.

He is registered to practice before the United State Patent and Trademarks Office. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
