Ivan J. Mlachak joined Yee & Associates, P.C. as a Senior Attorney in June 2010. Mr. Mlachak has 20 years of experience in all areas of intellectual property practice. Mr. Mlachak graduated from the University Of Notre Dame with dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and English in 1985. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from the University Of Texas School Of Law in 1990.

Prior to working for Yee & Associates, P.C., Mr. Mlachak founded his own boutique intellectual property law practice, the Law Offices of Ivan Mlachak, LLC, in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, his experience includes the firms of Conley, Rose & Tayon in Houston, Lewis & Roca in Phoenix, Ingrassia, Fisher & Lorenz in Scottsdale, and Gallagher & Kennedy in Phoenix. His experience includes patent litigation, patent prosecution (US and PCT), patent licensing and IP transactional work, freedom to operate analysis, infringement opinion work, patent ownership disputes, trademark prosecution and litigation, trade secret and employee non-compete agreements and litigation, and copyright registration and litigation.

At Yee & Associates, P.C., he concentrates his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications with an emphasis in the areas of aerospace technology, gas turbine engines, medical devices, complex composite materials, microchip fabrication, chemical processes, catalytic reactions, catalysts, polymers, energy production tools and equipment, and chemical reactor design.

Mr. Mlachak is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the State of Arizona. He is also registered to practice with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and the Southern District of Texas. He is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the Associate of University Technology Managers, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
