Milan Kapadia is Of Counsel to the firm of Yee & Associates, P.C. He specializes in intellectual property law, with an emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the computer, software, business methods, and electronic fields.

Mr. Kapadia graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and earned his law degree from George Washington University. He has over 20 years of experience practicing all phases of intellectual property law. Before becoming Of Counsel to Yee & Associates, P.C., Mr. Kapadia held positions as in-house IP, patent, and corporate counsel at a variety of companies, and as a patent attorney at multiple national law firms. Mr. Kapadia also worked as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications relating to business methods and networking technologies. His experience includes patent litigation, patent prosecution, patent licensing and IP transactional work, infringement and validity opinions, patent ownership disputes, trademark prosecution and litigation, open-source compliance, trade secret and employee non-compete agreements and litigation, and copyright registration and litigation.

Mr. Kapadia is also the recipient of a Fulbright fellowship, where he researched software patents in India for a year.

Mr. Kapadia is a member of the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
